Iranian ‘Goodbye Olympic’ to vie in Mexico

Iranian ‘Goodbye Olympic’ is to compete at the 2020 MICGenero film festival in Mexico.

Iranian short flick ‘Goodbye Olympic’ has been selected to compete at the 2020 edition of the MICGenero film festival in Mexico.

The film is the first directorial experience of Mojtaba Pourbakhshi.

‘Goodbye Olympic’ has already attended a number of international events, including the Triste Para Sempre (Sad Forever) Film Festival in Portugal.

Ramin Rastad, Farajollah Golsefidi, Houman Javadi, Mehri Alaqa, Tahereh Amouzadeh, Asghar Sandousi, Morteza Ghadiri and Maryam Jahani are some of the flick’s cast members.

The MICGénero aims to cover various aspects of gender studies and human rights through different artistic expressions, mainly via film.

The 2020 edition of the MICGénero selects gender and confinement as its main theme.

This edition of the festival will take place on September 10-October 15, 2020.
